If you have plans of establishing a construction business, knowing a thing or two about it will not suffice. You should also be aware of the different construction equipment types that you should have so that you can avoid buying those that are not really that necessary. Here are some of the construction equipment types that you should have.

The crane is the most popular equipment type. It is built in different sizes in order to perform different lifting needs. It is the most essential type of equipment because every construction projects need to do lifting jobs.  The crane has the same purpose to a forklift truck or a lift truck. However, they are more useful if you need to lift heavy equipments that are stored in some place so that you can lift them from underneath.
 
A compact excavator is another construction equipment type that most people associate with construction business. Its main purpose is to dig the site where the building is going to be built, it can be either a tracked or wheeled vehicle. You also need drilling machines to make sure that you get to build oil wells and water wells properly.

Dragline excavation systems are one of those construction equipment types that are being used for civil engineering and surface mining purposes. These systems are also used in strip mining operation in order to extract coal from coalmines. Although, larger dragline systems are needed for this job.

A loader is used to transport construction materials by using big metal bucket. This is yet another important construction equipment type. For transferring sappers on the other hand, you need combat engineering vehicles. This is the toughest construction equipment type because it is not only made of heavy metals but it is also armored. Lastly, a roller compactor is being used to make sure that the layout of the cement, dirt, gravel or asphalt are smooth.
